I've been TAGGED x2!!!

So no creating for me today since I have been taking care of the oldest fairy who has had a 24 hour yucky stomach bug. We have just been praying that the rest of us do not get it as bad as she had it. Poor thing :-)

But I was TAGGED today by two fellow CTMH reps - Korin from Inky Doodle (http://inkydoodle.blogspot.com) and Adeline from SweetAline (http://adeline-brill.blogspot.com). So here are the rules and 7 facts about myself...

The Rules:
So this is how it works. I must post the rules, 7 random things about me and then tag others to do the same. Sound fair enough, right? These are the rules…. each player starts with 7 random facts about themselves on their Blog. People who are tagged need to blog 7 facts about themselves and post the rules as well. At the end of their blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment.

1) I was born in Charlotte, NC and moved to Wilmington, DE when I was 11 in the middle of 6th grade...UGH! Could there be a worse age to move to the north with a HEAVY southern accent??? Fortunatly, I have lost it. Although, when I hear a southern accent it takes me right back home.

2) I currently live in PA with my husband and two beautiful daughters! My entire family all live in the south now. I LOVE to visit and my dream is to one day get back there!

3) I worked at QVC for 7 years during/after college in the retail buying offices. For those of you who don't know what that is it is a home buying network on tv.

4) One of my fondest memories of my childhood was being on the lake in our family boat. Those were the days!!!

5) Right now I could go for an M&M blizzard from DQ...it has been one of those days :-)

6) I have two little brothers - one who is 3 years younger and lives in Boca Raton, FL and the other is 14 years younger and will graduate from JMU this coming winter and he is livin' the life at the age of 21!!!

7) My Mom is my BEST FRIEND!!!

Here are the LUCKY "taggees?" - Jill, Michelle, Ashley, Pamela, Kirsten, Kendra & Jen. Sorry ladies, but I follow your blogs on a daily basis and so you are the lucky "taggees"!!! Enjoy!!!

Have a great night everyone and hopefully I will have some artwork to post tomorrow!!!

Crop Swap Cards

Hi Everyone! I am back :-) Still no creating for me but I do have some cards to share with you!

Once a month a girlfriend and I host an all day crop and for the past several months we have had attendees sign up for swaps. (Hence the name Crop Swap :-) There were 6 of us who participated in the swap for June and they were all kind enough to give me permission to post their work. I thought they did a wonderful job and love every one of their creations!!! (The card that I swapped with them is listed below and was posted on 6/5 called Crop Swap Card and it is the one I did with the transperancy.) I hope you enjoy admiring these cards as much as I have. Here you go...

This card was created by Michelle Gaul. I am not sure of the brand of stamp she used. But the designer paper is by SEI. She is in the process of creating her own blog and you can visit it at http://bellakittycreations.blogspot.com/, so make sure you check it out soon to see all of her lovely creations. And who would not LOVE to get a card about shopping!!!

This card was created by Jill Hilliard. You can visit her blog at http://jill031070.blogspot.com/. I love all the layering on her card - even the doggy is layered. He is cut out and pasted on the cardstock to give even more dimension. The picture does not do it justice.

This card was created by Colleen Gallagher. I just LOVE the bright colors. It is so cheery & happy! And you gotta love the bling :-) She used stamps from one of my favorite companies called Papertrey Ink. You can see their stamps at www.papertreyink.com.

This card was created by Tara Cooper. I am in LOVE with the Bella stamps from www.stampingbella.com. She used Cakeabella for this adorable card. She also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for added dimension. So cute!!!

This super creative card was created by Cindy Barone. She used two CTMH stamp sets for this card and she even used her sewing machine to stitch the bottom of the card for added texture. It is the FIRST card that I have ever gotten with REAL stitching on it and I just love it!!! I also love her added touch with the decorative scalloped scissors.

Again, I hope you have enjoyed looking at all of these great cards and that they have given you lots of inspiration for you own creations. Great job ladies!!!

Sorry ladies...

No time for crafting this week. I have been too busy with the two pink fairies and getting ready for my all day crafting event I run with a friend once a month. I plan on scrapbooking instead of making cards this time around. I am working on a gift for my god-daughter. So I won't be able to post those pictures. But I am hoping to have some time on Sunday to work on a Papertrey Ink swap. So I will post as soon as I have those completed.

Have a wonderful weekend :-)

Veggiebella inspiration...

So here are the berries we picked on Father's Day! We had so much fun!

Sunday Fun!!!

So I finally got to use some of my new stamps on Sunday! Even though it was Father's Day I found a little time to craft :-) I hope you like Veggiebella & the Javabellas. The Veggiebella was inspired by the strawberries we picked at the orchard that morning. (I will share a picture of those as well.) The Javabella card was made for a good coffee buddy of mine. It was the first time I ever stamped on twill ribbon before. I was impressed with how well it took the ink. And it was just 99 cent ribbon from one of the local craft stores, so even better!

More BLOG Candy....

Hi Everyone! I am so sorry I have not posted ANYTHING since Wednesday. Life has been an adjustment since school is out for the summer :-) But I am going into stamping withdrawl...LOL!!! I have had some great new stamps arrive too that I want to get using. So I promise I will be sharing some creations soon!

But until then I am offering some blog candy again. This time what I want you to do is put a comment linked to this post as to what your FAVORITE crafting item is and that you just CAN'T live without it. I have many favorites, but I would have to say that I can't live without my ATG adhesive gun. Thanks to a crafting bud who got me hooked on that :-)

I will be doing the drawing on Monday night (well, actually my hubby & two girls will be doing it for me)! I will pull 3 names again. The grand prize will be a clear stamp set by Studio G along with a card made by me. The 2nd & 3rd prizes will be cards made by me. (When I send you a card I do not write inside so that you can use it how you like and the back is not signed.)

I can't wait to see all of your comments!!! And again, thanks for taking a peek at my blog. You all have been so kind with your comments.

Kindred Spirits

So this was another challenge on the CTMH Friends Yahoo group. This was a color challenge using the colors - Garden Green, Orchid Bouquet & Twilight. I used another card sketch to design this card. It is not one of my favorites, but I had fun coloring the large stamped image in. The bottom sentiment says - Friends fill your life with joy, your soul with sunshine and your heart with love. I think that is such a nice sentiment. And it also got me to use yet another stamp set that had not seen ink!!!

Delight in Everything!

So I now have a new addiction! Yep...it is called sketch challenges. This is the first one I have ever participated in and it is for a yahoo group I belong to called CTMH Friends. I was so excited to make this card because I have been neglecting my CTMH stash. So everything I used I have had for a while and just got around to using it. All of the products used are CTMH except for the clear buttons. Those are from Stampin' Up. I am not sure if you can tell or not but I used liquid glass on the flowers. (That was my daughter Anna's idea and what a great idea it was! It went great with the clear buttons!) If you double click on the image you will be able to see the detail better. I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Anna's Chore Chart

This is all I have been able to do today so far...LOL! In fact, it has been almost completed for a LONG time and I just got around to finishing it. I had to get it laminated before I could finish it and I did that yesterday. My 6 year old's summer vacation started yesterday, so what better time to get her into doing daily chores!!! She has already completed 3 out of the 5 chores for today - yippee! Now the music notes are NOT for playing music, singing (which she does constantly) or listening to music - that one is a symbol for LISTENING TO HER PARENTS!!! It was the closest die-cut for that task. And she is having lots of trouble with that right now. So those notes will be there for the summer and when school starts we will replace it with a homework diecut. So she has 3 months to learn the skill of LISTENING!!! Do you think she can do it? We shall see. I will report back :-) This Chore Chart Kit was purchased from Top Line Creations. It was lots of fun to make!

Bubblebella Swap Card

Ok, I am a little addicted to SCS swaps right now...LOL!!! Here is one I made today. How fun is this Bella??? (You can find all of the Bellas at www.stampingbella.com). It was the first time I used her. I especially like the Stickles on the bubbles. You may not be able to tell in the picture but I used the Icicle Stickles in the large bubbles (it is a larger glitter) and Crystal Stickles around the perimeter of the bubbles (they are very tiny pieces of glitter). The other products I used were DCWV pre-made white textured card & patterned paper, White Daisy & Citrus Leaf cardstock from CTMH, black Stazon, dimensionals, mega & giga oval punches, CM wave paper trimmer, paper piercer and Prismacolor pencils w/ odorless mineral spirits. I hope you like her. I think this is such a happy cheerful card :-).

Crop Swap Card

My girlfriend and I run an all day crop once a month and we started hosting swaps at them too. So this is my swap card for June. I used a transperancy for the first time and it was so easy. It is much prettier in person. I used Stazon Opaque Cotton White on the transperancy. This card was CASED by a Splitcoast Stamper. The products used were White Daisy & Sweet Leaf cardstock from CTMH, the stamp sets were Mixed Bouquet and Warm Words from Stampin' Up, Hollyhock, Sweet Leaf & Black ink from CTMH, Blending Pen from CTMH and ribbon from Michael's.
