Make & Takes from CKC!

Here are a couple of cards I made as make n' takes at CKC this past Saturday. I thought they were cute. The second one was at The Card Co. booth. The flowers are made out of mulberry paper and we actually crumpled them up and when we opened them they did not tear at all. They were very thick. The first card was made at a booth that offered many different types of products, but we used a template for the flower. I forget who the templates were by, but you traced the lines for the flower and then there were fold lines to fold the flower. It worked perfect for double sided paper. It also adds great dimension. I hope you enjoy them and thanks for looking! (Sorry the paragraph above is out of order, but the photos uploaded out of order.)

Part 4

I loved making this card because I learned a new technique. The "i" and the "u" on the 2 small clear ribbon slides are rub-ons. If you have not tried that you should. They stuck right to the plastic! We used a wooden rubber stamp (the heart) on the large clear ribbon slide and stamped it with Black Stazon ink. Again really cool! I will be doing that again as soon as I find some blank clear ribbon slides. I also loved the knotting of the ribbon. Thanks so much for looking at the 4 cards. I hope you enjoyed them!

Part 3

The clear products used for this card was a sheet of floral acetate that went over the blue & brown printed paper. We also used the clear "Happy Birthday" stamp. I love the color combo.

Part 2

The clear product on this card is the acetate bird. The border is clear. It was made to look like the bird was flying with the tag! Pretty cool! We also used the "Just Because" clear stamp.

"I Can See Clearly Now"

My girlfriends and I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention on Saturday in Valley Forge. We took 2 classes and did LOTS of shopping :-) It was a wonderful day! My favorite class was "I Can See Clearly Now" and was taught by none other than Stacy Croninger, Editor-in-Chief of Paper Crafts Magazine! What an honor!!! She was an awesome instructor, but an even nicer person. She was so down to earth! She signed autographs, took pictures with anyone who wanted one and I even got a HUG!!!

We made 4 cards and this was one of my favorites. I will also post the other 3 for you to see as well. The clear products used for this one was a clear stamp that we used to stamp in each of the scallops of the piece of fabric and a clear button. It is hard to see but we backed the button with a piece of the matching green paper. Double click on the image and you may be able to see that and the great effect it gives. I hope you enjoy as much as I do!

Enjoy Your Day!

This card was made for one of my very first Bella swaps. You can get the Bella stamps at www.stampingbella.com. This one is called Emmybella. I designed the card around the ribbon that I got at Michael's craft store. The cardstock is from CTMH. The round stamp is from SU's Riveting set. I used the Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder and slide die cut. I hope you like her!

Friends

This is another card I made for one of our past crop swaps. The printed paper & ribbon is from CTMH. The "Friends" stamp is from SU's Taggers Dozen stamp set. I used the Cricut to cut the scalloped square and the slotted square.

Wild About Your Day!

I have not had much time to create new cards lately, so I have decided to show you some that I did before I started my blog. This is a card I did for a SCS Wild About You swap. I did the little bday hat with the Cricut. I just love that part. I put Liquid Glass from CTMH on the eye and raised the ear with a dimensional. I hope you enjoy it and sorry for all the PINK again...LOL!!!

Wish...

Ok, so I needed to show you a card that does not have ANY pink on it...LOL!!! Can you tell my favorite color is pink??? It seems to be on almost every card I create. So here is a black & white card. This card was made for one of our crop swaps a while back that had to be flat with NO LAYERS. So I used CTMH black core cardstock (nice & thick), the doodle stamp is from a Rhonna Farrer stamp set (that my friend Jill gave me for Christmas) and the "wish" is from SU Small Script set. I also used White Stazon and CM corner rounder. Enjoy!

All things grow with love!

I don't know about you, but I have a ton of friends who are pregnant right now. I made this card a while back just for that reason. I knew there would be another BABY BOOM...LOL!!!

Monogramed Note Cards

I just love monogramed note cards! Mainly because they are so versatile. This is a set I made for one of my girlfriends as a gift w/ the matching Pen. I made 6 cards with her first initial and 6 cards with her last initial. That way if she was sending a card from both her & her husband she could use those. The paper is SU Rebecca and the ribbon was from my stash. Enjoy!

Isn't this a happy card???

Well, I thought it was as soon as I opened it and it put a smile on my face :-). This card was given to me by my best friend Elisabeth. She was thanking me for having them join us on our summer vacation and we had a blast! She used the SEI Citrus Kick paper and ribbon. I just LOVE it! So thanks again Elisabeth and thank you for letting me share it on my blog. What you can't see is what she wrote inside and that is what meant the most :-).

Flowahbella RAK

When I got home from vacation last week I was greeted with this beautiful Bella card! I must say it made my day! My friend Colleen Gallagher made it for me to cheer me up after being sick. I just love everything about it, esp. the bling! Thanks again Colleen. I may have to CASE that one!!! You are so talented :-) If you would like to see more of Colleen's creations let me know. I am trying to convince her to start her own blog. Another card she made is below that was posted on 6/25, it is the bright & cheery Papertrey Ink Green Thumb card. Make sure you check that one out too if you have not already done so!

Vacation Cards!

I finally got around to creating some cards while on vacation. These cards were made for a Papertrey Ink SCS swap that I particpated in. They had to be pretty simple because I only took a few products with me to work with. So I hope you like them. The stamp set is the new Text Box stamp set from Papertrey Ink. If you want to know the recipe, just leave a comment and I can email it to you. If I get time I will post some pics from our vacation as well. We are busy with VBS this week :-) Enjoy!
