Well, it is almost here - FALL! And that means Halloween too :-) It is not my most favorite holiday, but todays challenge on www.splitcoaststampers.com was a Ways To Use It Halloween Challenge (WT128). I also incorporated Jen's sketch challenge at www.iheart2stamp.com. I am IN LOVE with this design. It could work with ANY theme. I hope you like it!

Products used:
Stamps - Tag Time set by SU (retired)
Cardstock - White Daisy & Black by CTMH, Misc. orange scraps
Ink - Black by CTMH
Markers - Black, Sunny Yellow, Hydrangea & Autumn Terracota by CTMH
Embellishments - Black & White gingham ribbon from my stash, white gel pen by SU, corner rounder by SU w/ guard off, dimensionals by SU, Cuttlebug embossing folder called Hot to Dot& Black Stickles on her hat.

Inside the card is white cardstock with a pumpkin eyelet in the bottom right hand corner. I used my new Crop-A-Dile to set it and it worked great!

Yesterday one of my best friends gave me the cutest bee stamps. As soon as I got them I was itching to use them!!! My oldest daughter even had me stamp up a sheet so that she could play with them too. This card desgin was from yesterdays card sketch challenge at SCS. Everything used on the card except for the colonial white cardstock was from a free Basic Grey/Bazzill kit I got at CKC Valley Forge. I just love the colors! I used the Stardust Glitter Pen to outline the wings and the swirls around the flower. If you double click on the photo you may be able to see it. Enjoy!

You BRIGHTEN my day!

I made this card for a friend of mine who was with me when I got this new Bee Happy stamp by Stampendous. It is a Stampendous Pail Topper. I think it is so cute. The two bees represent her and I. I do not usually use alot of bright colors (it is much brighter in person), so I had fun making this since I used colors I don't use much. I have also never done a tent topper card before and I really liked how it turned out. I got the idea from the SCS 134 Sketch Challenge. You can find the sketch directions at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271904. The other nice thing about the design of this card is that it fits in a standard size card envelope. The card itself measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I had so much fun with this design that you will probably be seeing more of them. Especially for my next Christmas card post!

Products used:
Cardstock - White Daisy by CTMH, Pink Passion by SU
Patterned Paper - Pastel Playful Paisley by Doodlebug Designs
Stamps - Bee Happy by Stampendous, Sentiment by Verve Visual
Ink - Black by CTMH
Markers - Bubblegum & Citrus Leaf by CTMH
Embellishments - Orange flower by Prima, white brads by CTMH, chipboard sticker by Doodlebug Designs, Sakura Star Dust Glitter Pen
Techniques - Used SU's edge distresser for the pink circle to add texture.
Tools - Coluzzle Circle Cutter

Enjoy!

My favorite find from CKC Valley Forge...

Was the Twirl Collection by Crate Paper!!! This patterned paper is unbelievable. Well, I would not really call it paper it is actually printed, textured, double-sided cardstock and worth every penny. I also got the matching Bazzill to go with it. So talk about a quality card. It is thicker than you can imagine! This card was created for a swap amongst my friends who went to CKC. We are all creating a card using our favorite find. (Sorry for the spoiler girls, but I just HAD to share this one!). The other products used for this card were Heidi Swapp XL ghost shape flowers (the polka dot paper is behind them), pink round rhinestone circle brads from MM, small silver button brads from MM, the sentiment is from the Faux Ribbon stamp set by Papertrey Ink (see their link in the sidebar) and chocolate ink from CTMH. Oh, and the Word Window punch from SU. Double click on the image and you can see the detail better. I hope you enjoy it! I just LOVE that paper :-)

Have a HAPPY Sunday!

I am BEYOND ecstatic!!!

I have to share this because I am SO excited. I have just been selected to be apart of a design team. This is a first for me, so that is why I am so happy! I will be one of 4 people to help design layouts and cards for a local scrapbook store in Frazer, PA. It is called Scrapbookers Garden and if you live in Chester County you MUST go. I will definitly post all of my submissions when the time comes. Just so you know the 3 cards shown below called "Beautifully Infused" were made for Susan, the owner of the store as my submissions. I was only able to use products from her store and that is where I got the beautiful paper, fibers, flowers & bling. You can check her website out at www.scrapbookersgarden.com and you can even order online. THANK YOU SUSAN FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY! I can't wait to get started :-)

Cutie Patootie Bugz!

Posted by Picasa

All of the above cards were made for my friend Elisabeth as part of her baby shower gift. She is having a boy on Sept 13th, so I made her 12 of the boy bugz card with the baseball bat, 4 of the girl bugz cards to use if her daughter gets any "big sister" gifts and 4 of the boy & girl bugz together in case they get some joint gifts. I was so happy that she liked them all! I will post later today what products were used for all of the cards. Gotta go get my little one down for a nap... Enjoy!

Lil' Monster

I made this little monster card for my girlfriend to go with her baby shower gift. It was actually one of her stamps I used to make it that I stamped a while back. She LOVED it!!!

The card base was from a pack of cards from DCWV. I believe the stamp is from Green Grass Stamps, but I will have to double check that. It is from their Lil' Monster set. I used my Prisma Pencils w/ Gamsol to color the image. I used a black Glaze Pen to go over the outline of the stamp and Liquid Glass from CTMH for the eyes. The sentiment stamp was from Papertrey Ink Faux Ribbon set and it was punched out with the SU Word Window punch. Both the stamped image and sentiment were lifted with SU Dimensionals. And the ribbon was also from DCWV. It was so much fun to make since I always seem to be making girly cards since I have girls. So I had alot of fun with it.

Thanks for looking!

Beautifully Infused

These cards were all created with the new Basic Grey Infused paper line and matching Bazzill cardstock. It is one of my absolute favorites. By now you should know I love pink and it has LOTS of that! The cards are 3x3, 3x6 & 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Also used on these cards are the Basic Grey Infuse Fibers and chocolate flowers. I am not sure of the brand of the pink bling, but I thought it all went great together. I did not use any sentiments on the outside of the cards because I wanted the paper to show as much as possible. I hope you like them!

Coffee Anyone???

These cards were inspired by a new stamp set from My Favorite Things (called Hot Stuff) and new paper I got at CKC from Scenic Route (the Charlotte line). I also used matching Bazzill from the Charlotte line. Other products used were black & chocolate ink, large chocolate brads & Colonial White cardstock from CTMH, misc. ivory twill ribbon, Prismacolor Pencils & Gamsol, SU word window punch and Marvy giga scalloped square punch. Oh, and the card that says "Coffee and Friends" on the front has the sentiment inside that says "The Perfect Blend". Enjoy!

"Just a little note..." set for a friend!

I have been dying to use this designer paper since I saw it on a Paper Crafts online newsletter. I forget the brand of the paper - sorry! I cut it up before writing it down and only had 2 sheets of it. I made a set of 8 3x6 note cards out of it for a friend. So there are 2 each of 4 designs, but all very similar. The other products used were Crystal & Black Diamond Stickles for the butterflies and center of the flowers. The stamp used is by Stampendous. I also used a paper piercing tool to make the swirls behind the butterflies. The cardstock is White Daisy from CTMH. I hope you like them. Sorry the picture did not turn out to good. Enjoy!
