I am back in the groove...

I know I have not been blogging in a LONG time, but life has just gotten in the way and I have not had time for it. But I am getting back into the groove! Here is a layout I did at a recent weekend retreat. My scrapbooking has been neglected for all the cards that I had been making, so you may see more layouts than cardmaking for a while. Thanks so much for stopping by :-)

Star Tag

I got these kraft stars from the CKC Convention this past August. I liked them because they are flat on the back, so I thought they would make great gift toppers. I took Real Red (SU!) ink and sponged the ink onto the front of the star and then on the other side made the to/from tag. My original thought was to cover the front of the stars with patterned paper, but that did not go over too well, so I went with the ink instead.

Products used:
Stamps - 2008 Holiday Tags Collection (Papertrey Ink)
Ink - Real Red & Old Olive (SU!)
Cardstock - Kraft & Old Olive (SU!)
Tools - Sponge (CTMH), Edge Distresser (SU!), Coluzzle & Martha Stewart Circle Cutter
